Welcome to Holy Cross Central School. I am Mrs. Ruth Tinsley, the school’s principal. I am pleased that you have decided to visit us. As you visit the school through our website and finally in person you will find that we are a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grade school that is guided by Roman Catholic, Christian values.
As principal of Holy Cross Central School I bring my experiences from several Catholic schools. I worked at St. Barnabas School as a fourth grade teacher, a middle school Math teacher, a computer teacher, technology coordinator and finally as the master teacher. While working at St. Barnabas I pursued my administrator licensure through the University of Notre Dame. I am licensed by the State of Indiana to be a principal. I have been a principal for the last five years. My experience as principal has been in urban Catholic schools. It has been my privilege to be the principal of Central Catholic, St. Andrew St. Rita Catholic Academy, and Holy Cross Central School.
Our 2011 – 2012 school year’s theme is “Let Your Light Shine.” Students and teachers are focusing on respect and how they can treat others in a Christ-like manner. Our journey through the school year will have students focusing on respectful manners. Each month we will have a new manner to focus on, we know these manners will help all of us to become better students, children, and future leaders!
